Hello to all the gentlemen, future gentlemen and admirers of gentlemen. My name is Fred D. I say I am a classic gentleman because of the fact that I carry myself that is respectful of all that I come in contact with. I understand the importance of treating those I come in contact with honor, chivalry and respect. I am honest, courteous, and mature. I truly believe that I can make a change in this world by the way I carry myself and treat others.
This leads to a question, why do I choose to live this lifestyle? The modern classic gentleman lifestyle. This lifestyle is a choice and does not come naturally. Especially now with the way the media is. . Being a gentleman seems to be a dying breed and it pains me to see it, my hope is to help foster a movement, a change, because the world will be better off with men being gentlemen. How many shows can you name that promote gentlemanly behavior? Not many, it seems that the non-gentlemen get the ladies, the money and the adoration. Don’t believe what the media always shows. Gentlemen are winning, we are getting the quality ladies, passive and long term income and when we are out and about, the adoration of those that see us.
Being a gentleman does not mean that you will always wear a 3 piece suit, or have a handlebar mustache. That is very passé. We are modern gentlemen with a classic feel. Below are some pointers and the reason why being a gentleman is the best.
Start with the grooming:
Every gentleman must maintain proper hygiene.
Women love a man that looks and smells nice. You become distinctive, women become attracted to you and speak to you just to be in the presence of the man that smells clean and fresh. Do not overdo it.
This also will keep you healthy, washing hands thoroughly, prevents diseases and people notice when a person bypasses the sink in a washroom. (Taking your time washing hands gives you more time to perfect your look before you leave the restroom.)
Every gentleman wears clothes that fit the situation
Being a gentleman means knowing the situation or event that you will be going to and dressing appropriately. It’s easy to have a pair of jeans and a shirt with gym shoes. It seems that this is what we see no matter where we are at. A sporting event, concert, play or party. Many men do not understand the importance of dressing for the occasion. Just like you would not wear gym shorts to a board meeting, you are the CEO of your life dress appropriate. If as a gentleman you dress for the situation and occasion you will stand out.
Not only fit the situation but your clothes must fit you. As a gentleman know what size you are, and understands that you must put some thought into how you look. My suggestion is that you go to a tailor and get measured. Every gentleman should have at least 2 custom made shirts.

It seems that now there is no “filter’ anymore. People swear and use profane language as if they are getting paid to do it. The above quote is true. As a gentleman we must try to keep the swearing down to a minimum. I understand that it is extremely difficult. (I myself find that I use profane language at time, no one is perfect.) We as gentlemen must make an effort to use words that are lewd, and vulgar, what is classically called gutter language.
By using clean, intelligent language a gentleman gains respect by those who are in his circle and he becomes the “go to” person for opinions and has the ability to influence others.
Watch your posture.
DON’T SLOUCH. Nothing says “I am unsure of myself” than slouching. A gentleman stands straight with shoulders back chin up. Gentlemen are confident, and confidence is infectious. Hint: women love a confident (not arrogant, gentlemen are not arrogant) man.
Exercise helps your posture. Strive for 20 minutes a day of brisk walking to help improve your stamina. This will not only help you out of bed but also in bed. Being winded by doing basic activities is not the trait of a gentleman.

Don’t be a gentleman just to impress a lady, be a gentleman to everyone and you WILL impress the ladies. People can spot a fake or insincere gentleman because he will not always do act as a gentleman. Remember being a gentleman means at your core you are courteous and respectful.
Be self-sufficient. Cook, clean, iron, and pamper yourself. A true gentleman is able to stand on his own without depending on a lady to do the basic things for you. By being self-sufficient you will be seen as a finished product to ladies not a project.
